Foodpanda Philippines - Order Cancellation After 1-Hour Wait
7:11PM: I placed an order for Island Grill via FoodPanda. 30 minutes from the time I placed the order, I was told it will take 45 more minutes for it to be delivered.
8:14PM: Food Panda sends a text message that the order has been cancelled. Reason: that the restaurant I ordered from "just ran out of a dish I chose and had to cancel." Isn't this something they could have found out at the time the order was placed? How is it acceptable to advise the customer after waiting for more than an hour?
A refund from Food Panda is hardly comforting. I look forward to hearing from an actual Customer Service representative and not receiving an automated response to my complaint.
